What The Role Is

The Vendor Management Supervisor is responsible for leading the vendor management team, ensuring the efficient and effective execution of vendor operations. This role involves managing team workloads, providing strategic guidance, and collaborating with various departments to optimize vendor processes. The Supervisor will also develop and implement strategies to enhance vendor performance and compliance, driving continuous improvement across the organization.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the vendor management team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Effectively manage team workloads, ensuring resources are allocated to meet deadlines and organizational objectives.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to promote professional growth.
  • Route vendor exceptions to the appropriate management for approval, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Develop and implement robust processes to minimize vendor exceptions and enhance overall vendor compliance.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Site Teams, and Accounts Payables to review vendor information and address any discrepancies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless onboarding and ongoing vendor relationships.
  • Lead initiatives to improve and standardize vendor creation policies and processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide actionable feedback on the effectiveness of established methodologies, driving continuous process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain functional scorecards, ensuring consistent execution across the organization.
  • Create, monitor, and analyze vendor KPIs in coordination with the team and key stakeholders.
  • Utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends, resolve inconsistencies, and validate information in vendor profiles.
  • Oversee the vendor onboarding process, ensuring efficient integration into the 3rd party system.
  • Communicate business requirements and provide support to vendors during the onboarding process, facilitating a smooth transition.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in vendor management or a related role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.

What Would Be Nice

  • SAP experience is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.

Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations
$77,000$85,000 USD
