Job Description
The Student Conduct Office (SCO) Supervisor is responsible for leading the Student Conduct Officer team in managing the student referral lifecycle. This role involves managing daily team operations, including hiring, training, and motivating, and calibrating Student Conduct Officers, as well as providing regular coaching and performance feedback. Ensures continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements in coordination with the Student Conduct Manager, fostering a positive work environment, and supporting escalated student issues to maintain a consistent, fair, and developmental process for students. Focuses on operational effectiveness, continuous improvement, and the alignment of student outcomes across the department.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily activities of Student Conduct Officers, ensuring effective workflow and productivity. Assist the manager with day-to-day operations, including managing processing queues, setting priorities, balancing each Student Conduct Officer's caseload, delegating responsibilities, and supporting strategic planning and departmental objectives.
Provide daily guidance and communication to team members to ensure relevant and effective student outcomes.
Continuously evaluate processes and suggest improvements for an enhanced student experience throughout the lifecycle of the investigation and adjudication process.
Regularly deliver statistical feedback and coaching on individual Student Conduct Officer performance, promoting skill development and goal achievement.
Ensure team members have adequate training and resources to perform their roles effectively, and update/create training resources and opportunities, as needed.
Write and conduct performance reviews to support skill improvement and career growth.
Address and resolve employee relations issues, promoting a positive work environment.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, including operational standards, quality benchmarks, and service delivery.
Recognize and reward high performance while addressing disciplinary or performance issues per company policy.
Prepare and communicate warnings when necessary, and administer corrective actions aligned with organizational standards.
Lead or participate in special projects and ongoing initiatives aimed at process improvement and efficiency.
Develop and implement reward, recognition, and staff development programs to foster motivation and team morale.
Performs other duties as assigned.
