This is a fully onsite role based at our Global Central Laboratory in Highland Heights, KY. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position, and any relocation costs will be the responsibility of the candidate.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.
2nd shift: Tuesday-Saturday, 4:00PM-12:30AM ET
Our supervisors mentor and assesses staff through the normal course of their daily duties. Oversees scheduling of sample management staff and assists management with oversight of the department.
Perform any or all Sample Coordinator functions, including oversight and execution of a variety of complex standard and sample tasks (receipt, accessioning, routing, storage, aliquoting, shipping, discard, destruction, etc.) in support of the Sample Management department.
Oversee the scheduling of sample coordinators and assist management with departmental oversight. Act as back-up in the absence of management and serve as a technical liaison for project-specific sample management procedures.
Train, mentor, and assess the needs of the sample management staff. Manage staff training documents, assessments, and records.
Respond to environmental unit alarms and participate in on-call responsibilities.
Perform work assignments accurately, timely, and safely.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 5 years).
High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
1+ year of leadership responsibility
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Possess basic understanding of GLP/GCP
Familiar with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point
Familiar with environmental monitoring systems
Effective time management and project management skills
Have good leadership abilities
Detail-oriented mindset
Problem solving/troubleshooting abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Able to work in a collaborative team environment
