YOU

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for guiding, directing and coaching production employees to safely manufacture high quality products at a sufficiently high volume to meet production standards with minimal waste. Schedule will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6:00am - 6:30pm

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Lead and direct daily operations to meet customer demand by ensuring teams understand expectations, follow documented processes, and maintain required levels of safety, quality, and production performance. Maintain strong communication with staff and Department Manager to remove barriers and improve performance through controlled execution. (30%)

Develop, coach, and grow employees by using effective performance management practices—including setting goals, giving regular feedback, recognizing strong performance, and addressing performance gaps. Build a culture of accountability where employees understand and own their responsibilities, while creating an environment that strengthens teamwork, trust, and collaboration. (30%)

Drive a continuous improvement mindset by training employees in Lean tools such as root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, gemba, and corrective action methods. Maintain and review manufacturing metrics, ensuring teams understand the data and their role in achieving improvements. Report results and corrective actions to Leadership regularly. (25%)

Champion safety, compliance, and process discipline by modeling the highest standards and ensuring all employees follow company policies and procedures. Oversee timecards, time‑off approvals, maintain staffing levels, and initial interviews. Develop or update training programs to reinforce consistent process adherence and ensure long‑term cultural sustainability. (15%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • Associate Degree or technical school certificate in business preferred; or combination of related experience and/or training.
  • 5 years in a lean manufacturing environment or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years leading high performing teams.
  • Production and Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
  • Active Listening: The ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Critical Thinking: The ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Monitoring: The ability to monitor/assess your own performance and others’ to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Written Comprehension: The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Microsoft Office: The ability to effectively use Word, Excel, and Outlook to carry out work.
  • Oral Comprehension: The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Process Control Analysis: The ability to conduct tests and inspections of processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of elimination of waste, continuous improvement, S5, Kaizen, Quality Built in, JIT, Kanban, and leveled production.
  • Mathematics: Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printer/scanner, etc. are frequently used. 

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This job requires 5% domestic travel.

This full-time, exempt position is located in Columbus, OH.

PAY

$66,600 - $106,600 / year
