Work Schedule: 4:30 AM to 2:30 PM

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for maintaining high levels of production, quality, and yield while ensuring the safest possible working environment. The role requires a thorough understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing oversight. Key responsibilities include verifying daily production orders to ensure customer order fulfillment, ensuring all positions are staffed prior to production line start-up, and supervising Team Member morning exercises and job rotations to promote ergonomic safety. The position also involves monitoring machinery performance to maintain optimal operational standards.

Additional duties include ensuring all workstations comply with USDA inspection requirements, actively promoting safety through daily practices and monthly safety meetings, and overseeing accurate shipments, inventory rotation, and proper product coding. This role also requires knowledge of company benefits and compensation policies to effectively communicate these to Team Members, fostering a positive and motivated team environment. The ability to perform human relations functions such as training, retention, and counseling on personal and professional matters is critical.

The position also involves overseeing various processing operations, collaborating with other supervisors to resolve issues, maintaining records of reworked or returned products, and providing ongoing education on quality standards. Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to support operational success.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: High school diploma required. Education beyond high school, including specialized training, vocational school, and/or college coursework, is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency is helpful.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: This position supervises a team performing related production tasks and activities.
  • Travel: Occasional travel required, approximately 1-5 trips per year.
