As the Supervisor, Pension & Projects, you will play a key leadership role in shaping our financial reporting landscape. You’ll oversee the coordination and preparation of key external reporting deliverables—including pension plan statements and standalone legal entity financial reports—while serving as a primary liaison with external auditors.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversees corporate and plan reporting for Enbridge and subsidiaries pension and other post-retirement benefit plans.

  • Lead and execute process improvement initiatives to enhance quarterly and annual Financial Reporting activities.

  • Leads a team of financial reporting professionals and provides workload management, mentoring, coaching and training as required.

  • Supports the preparation of the annual and interim Financial Statements and Management’s Discussion and Analysis (Westcoast Energy Inc. and Enbridge Gas Inc.), which are distributed to executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and securities regulators.

  • Provides expertise and oversees the preparation of financial statements for various other Enbridge Inc. subsidiaries and investments.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with key controls over the financial reporting process.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with US GAAP accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements; conducts research as required.

  • Develops strong relationships with a number of internal stakeholders, including but not limited to BU finance teams, Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax and Risk, to ensure efficient coordination of technical and administrative resources in relation to disclosure documents.
     

Who You Are:

Required:

  • Designated accountant (CPA) with 7+ years of relevant post-qualification experience;

  • Proactive and adaptable, motivated to challenge status quo and drive change;

  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP;

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities;

  • Strong critical thinking skills to challenge information provided by various sources;

  • Demonstrated strong interest and prior experience in process improvement initiatives;

  • Proven leader, strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships;

  • Working knowledge of ERP and reporting systems such as Oracle, SAP, HFM and WDesk;

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Prior experience in pension reporting an asset.
     

Working Conditions:

Office environment with some travel within North America.
