Summary:

Responsible for talent management activities including selection, hiring, training, and development. Recognizes staff as the primary contact for all business operation issues and customer satisfaction. Communicates with patients, providers and staff. Coordinates work flow of the department by prioritizing and delegating workload. Assists in developing short and long term goals. Assists in decision-making regarding growth of the department. Prepares the area for regulatory agency inspections.

Required Education:

High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Recommended Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.

Required Work Experience:

High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant experience, or 6 years of experience in lieu of a diploma/GED.

Description

1. Responsible for interview, hiring, training, scheduling and termination of staff. Communicates clear performance and customer service standards and ensures all staff are updated on critical processes.

2. Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations, and development of associates including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/or termination of associates.

3. Provides business supervision of day to day operations and oversees the aspects of the financial operations.

4. Partners with physicians and leadership to ensure practice guidelines are followed.

5. Assists with managing staffing levels for adequate coverage at all times and manages time and attendance and ensures accurate information is submitted to payroll on a bi-weekly basis.

6. Serves as an expert resource to clerical staff, MDs, RNs, and other areas of the hospital to answer questions, solve issues, and correct problems. Presents self as “first responder” to patient and family concerns and complaints, and is aware of options available to use for service recovery.

7. Initiates evaluation of departmental work flows and identifies areas for improved efficiencies and/or patient satisfaction.

8. Completes routine audits and reports according to specific deadlines; provides clear documentation of all concerns and successes to appropriate manager/director.
