Expectations:
THIS POSITION IS TRUST-FUNDED FOR 18 MONTHS. EMPLOYMENT IN THIS POSITION AFTER THE 18 MONTHS IS CONTINGENT UPON THE CONTINUED AVAILABILITY OF FUNDING.
The Supervisor, Outpatient Pharmacy is responsible for overseeing all daily outpatient pharmacy operations. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and compliant delivery of pharmaceutical care. This role combines clinical knowledge with leadership and administrative responsibilities, including supervision of pharmacy staff, workflow optimization, service excellence, financial stewardship, and adherence to regulatory and accreditation requirements. The Supervisor, Outpatient Pharmacy serves as the pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) with the State Board of Pharmacy for the outpatient pharmacy services.
EDUCATION:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in retail pharmacy. Minimum of one (1) year of management experience in retail or ambulatory practice, preferably in Residency.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current unrestricted Registered Pharmacist license (RPH) issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred:
Certification to administer immunizations
SKILLS:
Proper handling of cash to maintain accuracy and safety.
Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization process.
Knowledge of outpatient dispensing software to ensure safe dispensing of medications.

Pay Range: The estimated base rate for this position is $174,233.00 - $265,714.00.Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
