Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise and develop outage scheduling personnel, including performance management, coaching, work prioritization, and individual development planning.
- Own the development, maintenance, and publication of integrated, logic-tied, resource-loaded outage schedules for Unit 1 and Unit 2.
- Lead schedule integration for refueling, forced, and maintenance outages, including pre-outage, execution, and post-outage schedule development.
- Partner with station organizations to develop outage strategy, scope integration, system windows, work sequencing, and implementation plans for maintenance, surveillance, corrective, elective, and modification work.
- Ensure outage schedules reflect plant risk, Technical Specification constraints, Maintenance Rule requirements, shutdown safety expectations, equipment out-of-service time, ALARA considerations, and available resources.
- Review and challenge activity durations, logic ties, critical path assumptions, and resource estimates to maintain schedule credibility, resiliency, and execution readiness.
- Establish and maintain outage restraint lists, schedule assumptions, and readiness trackers, including material, engineering, procedure, walkdown, vendor, and emergent issue interfaces with assigned owners and due dates.
- Lead integrated schedule review meetings, readiness reviews, and cross-functional alignment meetings; communicate schedule risks, recovery options, and critical decisions to station leadership.
- Support outage risk assessments and PRA-informed shutdown risk management activities, including the evaluation of emergent work impacts to both outage and online units.
- Provide execution support during outages by updating schedules, resolving schedule conflicts, controlling emergent scope integration, and maintaining alignment between the approved plan and field execution.
- Validate work execution strategies and manpower loading profiles, including shift strategies and resource curves needed to support outage scope.
- Drive continuous improvement by supporting outage critiques, self-assessments, corrective action reviews, and lessons learned for future outages.
- Serve as an active participant or leader in outage governance meetings and station committees, including Outage Core Team, outage improvement meetings, daily outage meetings, and other assigned forums.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including Emergency Response Organization and execution assignments for which qualified.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in outage planning, outage scheduling, work management, project controls, or a similar role in nuclear generation or a comparably regulated heavy industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading, coordinating, or supervising cross-functional work teams, planners, or schedulers.
- Working knowledge of nuclear plant operations, outage execution, work management processes, and schedule governance.
- Working knowledge of Technical Specifications, Maintenance Rule requirements, shutdown risk management, and station procedures applicable to outage planning and scheduling.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, including development of logic-tied, resource-loaded schedules, schedule analysis, and reporting.
- Working knowledge of plant work management systems such as NIMS or equivalent computerized maintenance/work management platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, meeting facilitation capability, and sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to support extended hours during outage execution and perform emergency response duties as qualified and assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory experience leading outage planners, schedulers, or work management personnel.
- Senior Reactor Operator license, Shift Technical Advisor qualification, plant-specific certification, or equivalent demonstrated nuclear operations experience.
- Experience supporting multiple refueling outages and/or dual-unit outage coordination.
- Experience with outage readiness reviews, critical path management, schedule health metrics, and post-outage performance analysis.
- Experience coordinating vendor interfaces, contract scope integration, and outage execution support activities.
