We are currently seeking a Supervisor - Originations to join our Media Operations & Engineering team based in our Bethpage, NY office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise all operators that monitor accuracy of programming, commercial, promotional, and graphical elements on all of AMC Networks Scheduled Distribution Services
  • Work with department management team to maintain 99.99% on-air integrity and overall client satisfaction.
  • Formulate standard operating procedures for channel origination and ensure proper training of operators.
  • Review program schedules on an ongoing basis to confirm the automation systems are set up and working correctly.
  • For every shift - check and sign off on all network discrepancy reports and ensure their accuracy.
  • Follow up on all discrepancies that need further review, providing precise information on root cause, to negate repeat issues.  Keep management team informed on trends.
  • Confirm weekly employee work schedules are completed correctly.
  • Cover shifts as needed due to absence or other PTO taken.
  • Participate and contribute to yearly reviews in accordance with Company and Director’s guidelines.
  • Develop strategies with your manager to improve management/employee communication. 
  • Work with department management to create and maintain emergency remediation procedures to follow in the event of a core operational system failure. 
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Required & Preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree in operation management
  • 8+ years of Broadcast Operation experience.
  • Computer skills, including Imagine Automation Systems, File Maker, and ADP preferred.
  • Ability to train operators to enhance their performance, development, and productivity.
  • Detail orientated, organized and capable of handling multiple concurrent issues under high-pressure situations with accuracy.
  • Critical thinker with problem solving skills.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to build, maintain and leverage relationships both internally and externally.
  • Ability to function in a 24/7 operational environment and work flexible schedule which could include nights, weekends, and holidays.

The base compensation for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 commensurate with experience.
