What You Will Do:
We have an opportunity for a Supervisor, Materials Control Lab to be based in Columbus, GA. The Supervisor, Materials Control Lab is responsible for managing the entire quality engineering process of assigned parts and supervises the Material Control Lab
Supervise hourly non-exempt employees on assigned shift; mentor and develop hourly non-exempt employees
Respond to technical and process concerns/issues; review process changes or conformity to requirements
Coordinate and perform root cause analysis to solve manufacturing process issues
Facilitate and prepare for external audits
Work with customers regarding quality concerns
Participate in cross functional team projects to improve the overall organization and to develop a career path and leadership
Update and track the performance of incoming and outgoing specimens
Review of engineering documentation to ensure it contains the necessary quality assurance and customer provisions and criteria
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials management, quality or related industrial environment OR an Associate's degree and 4 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials management, quality or related industrial environment
In absence of a degree, high school diploma and 6 or more years experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, materials management. quality or related industrial environment
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, experience with Kaizen events or experience working with a continuous improvement program (CORE); Value Stream Mapping, 6S - Workplace Organization, Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Set-up Reduction, Total Productive Maintenance and Mistake Proofing
Demonstrated presentation, planning, problem solving, organizational, project management and decision-making skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Qualifications We Prefer:
Understand and interpret engineering technical data to provide guidance to cross functional teams
Experience with SAP and other IT Quality systems
Thorough understanding of audits and audit preparation
Experience with dimensional inspection, blueprint interpretation and/or GD&T, and Pyrometry
Knowledge of Document Control and Calibration systems. Ability to query data from database systems. Able to interpret manufacturing drawings
Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment of aerospace products
Experience using CORE tools
Prior experience in a team lead/supervisory capacity

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
