Position Summary

Supervises and directs the day-to-day operations and workflow of staff within designated area, including resolving credit balances and managing refund requests. Establishes procedures to ensure consistency within the work area.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct and monitor daily activity of all IBC staff.

  • Communicate policies and educate staff on issues to promote efficient flow of processes.

  • Review, monitor and make recommendations for credit and adjustment work queues to achieve optimal follow up.

  • Responsible for reviewing and approving refund requests up to $999.99.

  • Evaluate and distribute duties within work area.

  • Assist manager with establishing projections and goals.

  • Communicate and inform the manager of issues.

  • Prepare and monitor procedures for all activities.

  • Administer personnel policies.

  • Monitor and review productivity standards of staff.

  • Participate in selection process of new employees, training, supervising and evaluating employees; inform employees of changes in the department.

  • May assist with coverage in staff areas during illness/vacations.

  • Conduct performance evaluations for assigned personnel.

  • Interact with clinical department support staff to enhance billing processes.

  • Keep updated on credit balance processes.

  • Complete special projects/duties as assigned.

Salary Range

$56,200.00 - $87,100.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
