Compensation Rate: $17.50/hr

What you get to do:

As an EHS Supervisor, you will provide skilled, knowledgeable support for our year-round park operational needs. You will:

Primary focus of this role is to oversee accident investigations on Guest or Ambassador injuries. Determine root cause findings, recommend corrective actions, and follow-up to ensure implementation

Ensure that the general liability accident investigation database is maintained, in compliance and claims are filed with TPA within established timeline

Assist in the hiring, training, scheduling, and performance oversight for Safety Representative Team

Responsible for managing oversight of daily tasks, ensuring appropriate Ambassador training, providing formal and informal feedback on performance, and making recommendations related to progressive discipline

Assist with EHS inspections throughout the park to ensure that all departments are in compliance with SEA Safety policies & OSHA | EPA | DOT Regulations and follow up on corrective actions

Assist with management of waste generation (hazardous, universal, residual, electronic, and medical) and tracking generation rates

Update and Maintain EHS inventories (bulk tanks, refrigerant, confined spaces)

Assist with chemical management program (SDS, chemical inventory and chemical request)

Produces and analyzes technical reports to highlight park performance and identify trends. Presents these findings to EHS leadership and help in developing action plans

Establishes and maintains positive atmosphere which ensures the highest level of Ambassador performance and guest service while enforcing and complying with safety procedures and guidelines

Assists in the development of projects to be completed by the EHS / Safety Representative Team. Oversees the progression of the projects and ensures completion within assigned timeline

Attends all safety meetings as required, to include department safety meetings, leadership safety meetings and general safety sensitive meetings

Work in a team environment and interact with Guests and all levels of Ambassadors in a professional manner

Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Safety, Risk Management or Environmental related field preferred or High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years, safety related experience

. • Must have a valid driver’s license and able to meet company driving guidelines

• Must have working knowledge of computers and applicable software (i.e., MS Excel, Word, and Power Point). Experience with Busch Gardens software and programs preferred (Intelex/NetClaim/Global RiskTrac/SAP)

• Must have experience generating technical reports and presenting information in front of all levels of leadership

• Must have strong analytical aptitude, strong communication and organization skills and the ability to handle multiple and varied tasks in a team environment

• Must be able to manage successfully in stressful situations, multitask, make quick decisions, troubleshoot problems, and adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment

• Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50lbs. on an occasional basis; Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights if needed

• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying Florida weather, to include extreme heat. Position will be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes

• Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks(use of tools/keyboard/writing)

• Must be certified in CPR/AED/First Aid or be willing to become certified

• A working knowledge of our parks is preferred, but not required

• Must be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
