What Data Management and Governance contributes to Cardinal Health

The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics lifecycle to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling.

This role will lead the operational delivery of Data Governance initiatives, support the local team while maintain a dotted‑line partnership with US‑based leadership.

These teams work together to build trusted data foundations across the enterprise, establishing reliable infrastructure that enables operational excellence, accurate reporting, regulatory confidence, and scalable AI capabilities.

Data Governance mission is to ensure every business user can rely on their data.
This includes building and maintaining structured catalogs, business glossaries, and data quality standards within our centralized governance platform, Collibra.

This role plays a key part in delivering that mission globally.

Responsibilities

The Supervisor will be part of the Digital Solutions – Products and Platforms organization and function as a primary liaison between business and technical teams supporting responsible, long-term digital maturity.

Governance Steward Leadership

  • Lead and mentor Data Governance stewards in metadata documentation and ownership alignment. This includes data discovery, creating Collibra content, and lineage discussions
  • Encourage analytical thinking and thoughtful questioning
  • Reinforce team confidence in engaging with global stakeholders

Technical Data Quality Leadership

  • Lead DQ developers while implementing data quality rules
  • Ensure understanding of SQL-based validations and data profiling techniques
  • Guide developers in writing efficient and scalable data quality logic
  • Recommend process improvements to prevent recurring data issues

Global Stakeholder Engagement

  • Confidently engage with Global leaders during discovery, remediation, and governance discussions
  • Communicate progress, risks, and improvement opportunities clearly and professionally
  • Help ensure alignment of standards and expectations across regions

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Strong project and people management skills to plan, organize and execute work independently
