The Supervising Clinical Coordinator, a licensed MSW, LLP, PhD, PsyD or LPC assists the Behavioral Health Services Outpatient Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Partial Hospitalization Program and Intensive Outpatient Program (PHP/IOP). Under the direction and delegation of the manager, responsibilities include operations such as scheduling staff, annual reviews, timekeeping, corrective action, clinical leadership and direction to promote exceptional patient care and related documentation and regulatory compliance. The SCC assists in problem solving and communication between various BHS areas as well as the broader organization. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to serve in the clinical functions of the PHP/IOP Therapist in addition to the leadership capabilities required.

Pay Range:  $75,192 - 112,798/annually

Employment Type:  Full Time, 80 hours every 2 weeks

Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Requirements:  Masters in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Related Field Required, Licensed as an LMSW, LLP, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist required, BLS for the Healthcare Provider by 60 days after hire required

Administrative-Leadership

  • Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to staff through coaching and mentoring as well as agenda-setting, leading, and writing minutes for staff meetings.Recruits and retains highly qualified staff and effectively addresses personnel issues in order to promote a healthy and productive work environment.
  • Provides timely, fair and unbiased feedback to staff regarding performance which includes conducting performance reviews and implementing corrective action.
  • Integrates and applies core values and organizational pillars as a means to guide and make decisions to achieve short- and long-term organizational objectives.
  • Participates in Behavioral Health Services leadership meetings, Product Line meetings, Clinical Leadership Forum, and strategic planning of the department to achieve desirable outcomes, meet quality metrics and integrate care for patients throughout the continuum of services.

Supervision of Staff

  • Prepares and manages schedules for all staff.
  • Oversees daily operations by responding to scheduling needs, unexpected employee absences, and patient emergencies.
  • Trains and acts as a resource for staff.
  • In conjunction with the Clinical Manager, completes staff evaluations including competencies and performance reviews for all staff.
  • In conjunction with the Clinical Manager, verifies and completes timekeeping responsibilities.
  • Serves as a role model and provides support to staff for managing difficult interactions with patients/family members.

Quality Improvement

  • Supports the quality improvement activities of the program and responds appropriately to change.
  • Ensures compliance with policy, procedure, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains patients’ rights, confidentiality, and ethical billing practices.

Patient Assessment and Treatment

  • Provides clinical support to staff.
  • Functions in the role of the PHP-IOP Behavioral Health Therapist as scheduled and/or as needed.

Documentation

  • Documents patient information in the electronic health record accurately and thoroughly.
  • Participates in SuperUser and/or SME training and meetings.
  • Acts as an integral part of training and supporting staff and providers when EHR changes, updates, or downtime occur.
  • Updates EHR when provider or patient changes are made in collaboration with IS support.
