SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the Superintendent, Building Products will be providing guidance, support, direction and leadership through positive interactions with all personnel during the daily operations. Superintendent-Production, Building Products will also assist in supervising production, safety, scheduling, staffing, material management, compliance, training, and auditing activities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Comply with Company Safety Policies and Procedures
Assisting the plant manager in creating a safe working environment, ensuring implementation of plant safety policies, procedures, and programs
Making recommendations and assisting the plant manager in developing the operating plan and monitoring results against the plan. Assist the plant manager in other matters such as, but not limited to safety management, quality assurance, office administration and risk management.
Assist in equipment and machine acquisition and repairs, service contracts and agreements
Maintain current permits and/or obtain new permits from appropriate governmental agencies, ensuring the facility is in regulatory compliance
Directing and coordinating the activities as assigned to obtain maximum efficiency of operations to meet production needs
Leading a team of employees with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and production
Training and coaching supervisors and hourly personnel
Conferring with the plant manager to establish working schedules for all of production
Adhering to budget for all departments including maintenance supplies
Supervising equipment/facility maintenance operations including the preventative maintenance program
All other duties as requested or assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum requirements for education and experience are listed below. Consideration will be given to individuals with an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
3 - 5 years' experience in functional role

Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company.
