You are an experienced Buried Service Wire Superintendent in the province of Ontario,. You will be responsible for day-to-day field operations, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time and within budget. You will oversee field crews responsible for installing buried service wire and underground telecommunications infrastructure.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate buried service wire crews performing underground cable and fibre installations.
  • Plan and schedule daily work assignments based on project timelines and customer orders.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to company standards, safety regulations, and utility specifications.
  • Conduct field inspections to verify quality of installations and proper restoration.
  • Coordinate with locators, hydrovac crews, drill operators, and restoration teams.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, and project documentation.
  • Address field issues including access problems, utility conflicts, or customer concerns.
  • Train and mentor field technicians and crew leads.
  • Ensure compliance with Ontario health and safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years experience in telecommunications or underground utility construction.
  • Previous supervisory or crew lead experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of buried service wire installation, fibre drops, and underground utility practices.
  • Ability to read utility prints and construction drawings.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs; intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Outlook

  • Clean drivers abstract

Work Conditions:

  • Travel to the surrounding communities

  • This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions

Compensation

$73,600.00 - $101,200.00

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
