The Lansing School District serves over 10,000 PreK-12 students across 25 school buildings in the increasingly diverse urban community of Lansing, MI. For summer school, we are looking for a variety of roles (see job posting title). Internal applicants in the aligned bargaining unit will receive preference. For specific details on schedule and programming, reach out to the hiring manager/building administrator.
Lead teacher will support Multilingual Learner students as the point person for the school, responsible for managing the program outside of each individual classroom and across the school. BEST is a 6-week program, starting the week of June 17th and running through the week of July 31st. The Lead Teacher will begin 1 week before for planning and preparation purposes. The Program will take place onsite, in person at Gardner International Magnet school. The program will include targeted curriculum for each grade cluster created by the teachers. Short daytime field trips include locations such as Potter Park, Ebersole, and Michigan State University.
