Join our Global Real Estate Financial Operations (GREFO) team and gain practical experience supporting the financial operations of a large, global real estate investment platform. In this role, you will help support the management of Canadian and U.S. real estate portfolios, working closely with finance, asset management, and external partners.
You’ll gain exposure to portfolio accounting, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, internal controls, and financial systems, while developing a strong foundation in how institutional real estate investments are managed within a global organization.
Position Responsibilities:
Review portfolio-level accounting and reporting deliverables for accuracy and reasonability
Follow up with third-party managers on exceptions and open items
Support global budgeting and reforecasting processes, including dashboards and assumptions
Coordinate with regional asset management teams on budget inputs
Review financial models for completeness and accuracy
Assist with SOX control walkthroughs, testing, and documentation
Support implementation and ongoing use of Anaplan for Global Real Estate
Maintain monthly revenue, expense, and forecast projections
Assist with financial analysis, including actual-to-budget variance reporting
Support strategic initiatives, technology enhancements (including Yardi), and ad-hoc analysis
Required Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a university degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
Interest in Real Estate or Financial Services
Self-starter with the ability to take projects from inception through execution
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with senior stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
