Job Title:  Summer Intern, Corporate Legal (Law Student)

Reports to: Manager, Paralegal


Location: Goleta, CA (Hybrid) – Typically 3 times per week in office, Tuesday – Thursday

The Role

As a Corporate Legal Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience with our corporate legal team in legal administration and operations. Over the course of internship, the Intern will rotate through 7 Legal focus areas. The areas include: Corporate Secretarial, Sustainability & Compliance, Marketing & Commerical, Intellectual Property & Brand Management, Commercial Real Estate & Shared Services, Litigation and Deckers Gives. 

Approximate Dates of this Internship are May/June 2026 through August 2026

Your Impact

  • Carry out administrative services, providing support to the legal team
  • Support activities may include: reviewing and redlining agreements, drafting memos to internal business partners, reviewing materials for possible risk analysis, researching, etc.
  • Assist with organization of legal documents and files
  • Support the Legal Administrative Assistant with ad-hoc tasks

Who You Are

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. law school, with completion of first year (1L) by the start of the internship
  • Experience in an office setting or law firm is a plus
  • Familiarity with MS Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work well with others

$20 - 23/hour

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in Goleta, CA. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
