Background:  

EMEALA Business Oversight, Enablement and Support is headed by the Chief Administrative Officer for EMEA & LatAm (“CAO”). The key objective of the CAO and team is to oversee, facilitate and support the controlled and coordinated development and growth of Neuberger’s business interests across EMEALA, while seeking to maintain a compliant, effective, efficient and risk-controlled operating framework for the firm’s business activities and operations. The team is responsible for:

  • Oversight: Overseeing the operating framework and platform for Neuberger’s business activities and operations across EMEALA.
  • Governance: Promoting and actively participating in the implementation and maintenance of an efficient, effective and robust operational governance framework across EMEALA.
  • Business Enablement: Engaging across end-to-end EMEALA-wide processes to optimize operational efficiency, effectiveness and transformation by involving technology-driven solutions. Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and proposing solutions for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Initiative Execution: Facilitating and overseeing the execution of multiple projects across EMEALA, especially when initiatives require cross-functional coordination, while providing guidance to drive best-in-class solutions and ensuring accountability across all initiatives to completion.
  • New Issues: Keeping abreast of key business, regulatory and operational developments and opportunities in EMEALA.
  • Support and Connectivity: Providing additional support and connectivity across business lines and key support functions, within EMEALA and across the firm.

Position Overview:

The Neuberger summer internship in London is an eight-week programme that exposes interns to an interactive on-the-job training environment. Positions vary; each intern is integrated into an assigned department and handles a multitude of daily tasks. Over the course of the programme, interns become familiar with the company’s services, culture and values while learning about asset management and financial services.

Working within the team which reports to the CAO, the role will support the Business Enablement, Business Oversight and Business Support functions. The focus of this role will be to bring an execution-oriented mindset to the complexities of a global, multi-regional, multi-platform asset manager.

The internship presents a unique opportunity to work directly on key projects in a team-oriented, fast-paced and highly dynamic environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team in providing business enhancement and support for the EMEALA Operating Platform.
  • Assist the team in leveraging existing processes and seeking best-in-class solutions to improve current challenges within the UK and internationally.
  • Utilize communication and critical thinking to bring about strategic and operational change.
  • Assist the team in scoping and delivering complex projects and programmes with firm-wide impact, particularly business-critical initiatives.
  • Assist the team with the management of multi-functional workstream teams and projects across geographies to complete challenging, time-critical deliverables.
  • Gain exposure to stakeholder management at a senior level.
  • Assist the team in providing project and programme documentation and updates.

Key Requirements/Qualifications:
