Job Description Summary

The Summer Camp Assistant will provide administrative and logistical support for the Sarasota Art Museum’s 2026 Summer Camp, as well as assist the Director of Learning and Engagement with other programs as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Note: The following duties are illustrative and not exhaustive. Responsibilities may evolve based on organizational needs, and similar or related tasks may be assigned as necessary. Management reserves the right to assign additional duties as required.

  • Support Summer Camp daily operations including camper check-in and check-out, coordinating studio operations, and monitoring program and parent communication.
  • Organize weekly Camper Art Shows.
  • Inventory and prepare art supplies for Summer Camp and other studio classes.
  • Assist in the “Your Wednesday Playdate” museum program as needed.
  • Prepare and implement accessibility visits and tours and collect feedback and data as needed.

Education and Experience

Minimum:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in a Museum Studies, Art History or History Program.
  • Experience interacting with visitors, performing administrative tasks, program coordination and implementation.
