What you’ll be doing   

When you join our Career Programs team as a Summer Associate in the Graduate Leadership Development Program (GLDP), you will join a team that continues to push CIBC as the market leader in making our clients’ ambitions a reality. The GLDP Summer Associate role offers you an opportunity to pursue a 4-month internship with significant flexibility to create your own experience that aligns with your personal and professional development goals.

Your summer internship will be spent in one of our many lines of business at the bank. This includes teams within: Personal and Business Banking, People, Culture and Brand, Enterprise Innovation, Commercial Banking, Risk Management and many others. Based on your interest and business needs, GLDP Summer Associates will take on roles including Product Manager, Senior Financial Analyst, Project Manager, Consultant, Credit Analyst or similar.  

You will also have access to your Summer Placement Manager, Program Manager, and Peer Mentor, who will support your professional growth through personalized career guidance. As you begin your internship at CIBC, you will join a dynamic community of talented professionals in the full-time GLDP program, which will allow you to expand your network and foster meaningful connections. Additionally, the various internal GLDP committees offer opportunities to pursue your interests and passion projects, while contributing to the ongoing development of the GLDP community.

  • You are a student, currently enrolled in a Master’s/MBA Program with an expected graduation date in 2025, 2026 or 2027.

  • You have a minimum of 3 years’ work experience.

  • Work Location: Toronto. Please note all employees must work within their current jurisdiction and must reside within Canada.  All CIBC Internship positions require you to be based in Canada for the duration of the term.
