Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Student Summer 2026 placement with a start date of May 2026 and end-date of August 2026. 
 
In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026; or

  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April/August 2026), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?
We are looking for a summer student who is passionate about data and how it can be used to tell stories and generate insights. The role will involve working on a variety of projects that combine data analysis, visualization, and strategic thinking to support business decision-making.

What will you do?

  • Conduct client and sector competitive analysis and data insights, incorporating economic influences such as tariffs and interest rate changes.

  • Enhance the CB Data Consortium Confluence site to create an easy-access, one-stop shop for available data and insights.

  • Support data standardization and the development of a single source of truth.

  • Perform CBA market share analysis and contribute to enhancements.

  • Analyze process efficiency and automate Commercial Banking client reports, dashboards, and insights, including Emerald value capture.

  • Develop and enhance dashboards to provide easy access to key insights and information.

What do you need to succeed?

Non-technical skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting thoughts and ideas effectively.

  • Ability to research and gather relevant information.

  • Attention to detail and quality, with strong time management and project/work planning skills.

  • Ability to conduct statistical and correlation analysis to identify patterns and trends.

  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Independent and strategic thinker.

Technical skills:

  • Experience in BI dashboard development using applications such as Tableau.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Programming experience using tools such as Python, R, Java, SQL/SQL Server.
