Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Student Summer 2026 placement with a start date of May 2026 and end-date of August 2026. 
 
In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026; or

  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April/August 2026), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?

The Commercial Banking Cash Management Solutions team drives product and policy innovation, strategic pricing, and end-to-end ownership of Commercial Banking’s cash management and payment solutions. By collaborating closely with regional leadership, specialized sales, risk, and legal teams, CMS is committed to delivering market-leading solutions tailored to the unique needs of business clients, and helping business clients manage their daily cash flows, optimize operations, and improve their financial stability.

As part of RBC’s Commercial Banking Platform, the CMS team empowers businesses of all sizes by providing innovative market-leading solutions in transaction banking to optimize their working capital, uncover valuable insights, and drive growth, as a trusted partner across the markets we serve. 

The Business Product Analyst will contribute to this mandate by supporting product strategy and product management, conducting analysis identifying opportunities  to optimize our Product and Platform Suite.

What will you do?

Selected candidates will support key activities within either the International Cash Management or Domestic and Emerging Payment teams, specifically by:

  • Working on high profile strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth, improve client experience, and reduce fraud risks.

  • Assisting with analysis and development of business case(s), with a focus on digitizing and incorporating AI solutions

  • Engaging in ad-hoc projects or tasks that align with your skills and interests, as identified during your tenure.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, economics, accounting, or finance.

  • Growth mindset - open to learning, adaptable and always ready to take on new challenges

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Ability to navigate and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and the ability to source data/research


Nice-to-have

  • Prior experience in financial services and ability to manage complex concepts

  • High level understanding of payments, cash management solutions, or Foreign Exchange

  • Ability to learn and absorb new concepts (in business) quickly and apply new knowledge
