Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Student Summer 2026 placement with a start date of May 2026 and end-date of August 2026. 
 
In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026; or

  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April/August 2026), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

As a Business Analyst, Transformation, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing key initiatives, collaborating through cross-functional teams to drive strategic change. What will you do?

Selected candidates will work in one of the following potential placements…

  • Credit Transformation – The team’s objective is to re-imagine and re-build an intuitive, digitally enabled credit experience for our business clients and advisors. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with product owners, designers, and developers, to learn how digital products are developed and delivered to end users.
  • RBC Edge – This team is delivering a market leading digital Commercial Banking platform, enabling access to transaction and account information, payments capabilities and cash management solutions to support the day-to-day banking needs of business clients. 
  • Virtual Accounts and Liquidity Management Solutions –  Responsible for transforming how large corporate clients manage liquidity, cash flow, and returns by delivering next-generation product capabilities and actionable insights. This includes virtual account solutions to streamline account structures, and liquidity management solutions for real-time cash visibility, yield enhancement pooling, and automated sweeps in a local, multi-bank and North American setting

Depending on placement, key activities include…

  • Support projects with requirements documentation, booking critical meetings with stakeholders, document and distribute meeting minutes and other activities to ensure the smooth progression of work.
  • Maintain Confluence as a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives, following the enterprise standards
  • Participate in established agile delivery routines
  • Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners
  • Leverage Confluence, PowerPoint, Mural and other tools to effectively communicate analysis outcomes and recommendations to various stakeholders
  • Research and documentation to provide insights and recommendations to inform critical work on the horizon
  • Investigate data integrity and consistency concerns to identify root cause and make recommendations for remediation
  • Create a data dictionary to support digital product development
  • Develop new, and refine existing, enablement materials (tool guides, job aids, etc) to support product launches
  • Support a Business Systems Analyst in creating and refining user stories

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, economics, accounting, or finance.
  • Growth mindset - open to learning, adaptable and always ready to take on new challenges
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent conceptual/analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to navigate and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and the ability to source data/research
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Nice-to-have

  • Prior experience in financial services and ability to manage complex concepts
  • High level understanding of business digital transformation priorities
  • Ability to learn and absorb new concepts (in business) quickly and apply new knowledge
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and digital transformation concepts
