Procurement Intern
Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Procurement Intern to join our Procurement team.
In this role, you will be responsible for gaining hands-on experience by supporting key technology implementation, data analysis, and supplier relationship projects.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:
- Support Technology Enablement: Assist in the implementation of a new procurement platform to enhance the end-user experience, including tasks related to analytics and change management. You will also engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather data on templates and processes.
- Create Economic Impact Visualizations: Gather and organize supplier data (focusing on diverse and small businesses) to help create a visual "economic impact map". Potential deliverables include a dashboard or infographic illustrating geographic spend and community impact.
- Conduct Data Analysis: Support analytical work, such as determining supplier categorization for suppliers above a certain spend threshold.
- Ensure Operational Alignment: Adhere to organizational policies and standards while contributing to efficient, end-to-end Procurement processes.
What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant Experience: Experience in a field requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to work with Data Analysis tools (e.g., Google Sheets/Excel).
- Strong Knowledge: Understanding of business acumen, and an interest in how AI can assist in daily operations within a procurement or business function.
- Proven Ability: Demonstrated ability in research, interpersonal/relationship management skills, and stakeholder engagement.
- Education/Certification: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent certification/training).
