The following position is to join our Corporate Facilities Engineering & Construction Team:

The Facilities Engineering & Construction Team offers professional service in all aspects of site construction, plant layout, renovations, and demolition. Our office services range from small, single task support projects to large, full-scale reconfiguration projects. This includes interfacing with our internal customers, various stakeholders, engineers/architects, and construction contractors.  This is a great opportunity to intern with a team oriented organization that drives successful results. 

What You Will do

  • Work alongside experienced project managers and engineers on facilities-related projects
  • Assist in writing Requests for Proposal (RFP) documents
  • Support engineering and design activities
  • Help develop and maintain project schedules
  • Coordinate tasks and communication among project stakeholders
  • Participate in safety planning and adherence efforts
  • Provide field oversight to monitor project progress
  • Support compliance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to quality assurance throughout project execution
  • Assist with project closeout and turnover activities

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Candidates must be currently pursuing a college degree in construction management, environmental science, or engineering field e.g. chemical, mechanical, electrical, or environmental engineering and must not graduate prior August 2026.
  • 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Minimum GPA 3.0.
  • Candidate must be a motivated student with sincere interest in the energy efficiency for building and production equipment. The successful candidate will have demonstrated academic success as well as involvement in extracurricular activities and groups.   
  • The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and have the ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities in an industrial environment.

Location: Onsite in RTX office in East Hartford, CT. Travel between Connecticut RTX sites may be required.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
