We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support business intelligence and reporting modernization initiative. You will work directly with the technical lead and reporting stakeholders to help migrate existing reports and dashboards from Qlik into Microsoft Power BI.

This internship provides hands-on experience in data visualization, report development, SQL-based analysis, and enterprise reporting tools.

The following position is to join our RTX Technology Research Center (RTRC):

What You Will Do *

  • Assist in migrating existing business reports from Qlik to Microsoft Power BI

  • Analyze current report logic, data sources, and calculations to ensure accurate translation into Power BI

  • Work with SQL-based data sets to validate data integrity and reporting consistency

  • Collaborate with business users to understand reporting needs and confirm expected outputs

  • Document report requirements, development notes, and testing steps in Confluence

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by helping define validation criteria and ensuring reports meet business expectations

  • Participate in structured review and feedback cycles to ensure high-quality deliverables

What You Will Learn

This internship is ideal for students interested in business intelligence, analytics, and modern reporting platforms. You will gain practical experience migrating real enterprise reports and contributing to a meaningful data modernization effort under direct technical mentorship.

Qualifications You Must Have *

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field and must not graduate before September 2026.

  • Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts

  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail with the ability to communicate clearly and document work effectively

  • Interest in data visualization, reporting, and business analytics

  • U.S Citizenship is required, as only U.S citizens are authorized to access necessary systems and sites.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience or coursework with Microsoft Power BI or similar BI tools

  • Exposure to Qlik (QlikView or Qlik Sense) is a plus, but not required

  • Understanding of data modeling concepts (relationships, measures, calculated fields)

  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • Strong curiosity and a disciplined approach to problem-solving

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
