Inflectionai

Summer 2026 Business Operations Intern

Palo Alto, CA Full Time

At Inflection AI, our public benefit mission is to harness the power of AI to improve human well-being and productivity.

The next era of AI will be defined by agents we trust to act on our behalf.

We’re pioneering this future with human-centered AI models that unite emotional intelligence (EQ) and raw intelligence (IQ)—transforming interactions from transactional to relational, to create enduring value for individuals and enterprises alike.

Our work comes to life in two ways today:

Pi, your personal AI, designed to be a kind and supportive companion that elevates everyday life with practical assistance and perspectives.

Platform — large-language models (LLMs) and APIs that enable builders, agents, and enterprises to bring Pi-class emotional intelligence into experiences where empathy and human understanding matter most.

We are building toward a future of AI agents that earn trust, deepen understanding, and create aligned, long-term value for all.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer 2026 Business Operations Intern to support the Go-To-Market and Customer Delivery functions. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on experience in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality customer experiences, and contributing to the scalable delivery of our AI products. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of empathy, clear communication skills, and a deep curiosity for how technology and business intersect.

What You’ll Do

Go-To-Market Operations Support

  • Operational Cadence: Assist in establishing and maintaining cross-functional operating rhythms, including scheduling and preparing materials for weekly meetings with engineering and product teams to facilitate timely product and platform releases.
  • Performance Tracking: Help design and update basic operational dashboards for key performance indicators (KPIs), adoption, and delivery metrics to provide visibility to the team.
  • Foundational Asset Building: Contribute to the creation of essential delivery materials, such as simple deployment guides, basic onboarding checklists, and internal resource documents to accelerate the adoption of our AI solutions.
  • Data Analysis: Support the team in gathering data for financial projections, including basic metrics related to user growth (WAU) and subscription services.
  • Project management: make sure that workstreams and teams are on purpose and on track; capture and escalate risks and dependencies and create transparency and visibility through accurate project reporting.

Customer Delivery and Support

  • Customer Issue Management: Triage, diagnose, and troubleshoot basic user inquiries and technical issues across various interfaces (web, mobile). Ensure complex issues are escalated to senior team members with comprehensive, clear context.
  • Customer Communication: Provide timely, empathetic, and technically accurate responses to users primarily via email, ensuring all communications align with our brand and tone guidelines.
  • Public Channel Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and responding to reviews on public platforms (e.g., App Store, Google Play), as well as engagement on community forums (e.g., Discord, Reddit). Maintain professionalism and brand voice, while strictly avoiding product or release promises.
  • Documentation: Help maintain and update the internal knowledge base, self-service guides, and user-facing troubleshooting articles to improve customer self-sufficiency.

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Business, Operations, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
