Job Description Summary: 

Suitability Advanced Specialist will be focusing on mentorship, NIGO callouts, testing and other more advanced aspects of the suitability process.  These responsibilities will be in addition to analyzing and handling of Suitability review cases  

  

Job Description: 

  • Acts as a mentor in responding to questions from the Suitability team through our Mentor Flow 

  • Makes outbound calls and emails regarding suitability requirements through our NIGO Call Out Flow. 

  • Communicates via internal and external email boxes. 

  • Will research issues, coordinate resolution, and respond promptly to parties involved regarding the outcome. This may also include making calls out on escalated cases. 

  • Helps research and analyze Voice of Producer surveys and provide timeline data to the Advanced Specialists for root cause analysis. 

  • Creates and maintain procedures for the Suitability team. 

  • Serves as a liaison between the Suitability team and other areas in the company such as New Business, Contact Center, Sales, Compliance, and Business Relationship Management for escalations/education involving Suitability review. 

  • Acts as subject matter expert in projects, and process improvement initiatives. 

  • Performs User Acceptance Testing as needed for a wide variety of system enhancements or changes. 

  • Evaluates Suitability on contracts and take inbound calls as needed. 


Qualifications and Experience:

Qualifications And Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. 

  • 2+ years of financial or insurance industry experience required. 

  • Must be able to demonstrate experience in analyzing complex situations and use technical expertise to make recommendations or develop solutions for implementation. 

  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to utilize advanced verbal and written communication skills, while explaining complex concepts and processes to a diverse audience.  

  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work in a time-sensitive environment. 

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal direction. 

  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to build collaborative work relationships across the organization to deliver solutions to internal and external customers. 

  • Experience with Office products, particularly Excel and annuity/financial service administration platforms. 

  • Skilled at creative evaluation, decision analysis, problem solving and systems thinking.
