FTE: 1.0 Shift: Day/Swing Schedule: Varies
The position will begin with a standard Monday through Friday dayshift. However, as the program grows and needs evolve, candidates will need to adapt to a schedule that provides adequate coverage, including evenings and weekends, that meets requirements of fidelity. PACT (Program for Assertive Community Treatment) is an intensive and highly integrated approach for community mental health service delivery. The multidisciplinary team shares a caseload of individuals who experience symptoms of the most serious forms of mental illness, predominantly but not exclusively the schizophrenia spectrum disorders. Many individuals also experience substance abuse, victimization and trauma, psychiatric hospitalizations, arrests and incarceration, homelessness, and additional significant challenges. The symptoms and complications of mental illnesses lead to serious functioning difficulties in several areas of life, often including work, social relationships, residential independence, money management, and physical health and wellness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including mental health professionals, nurses, prescribers, peer counselors, SUD specialists, and vocational staff.
Deliver recovery-oriented services such as case management, treatment planning, resource assistance, crisis intervention, and group/individual services.
Assist clients in identifying and accessing resources and collaborate with community resources on behalf of clients.
Assist clients in the development of healthy coping mechanisms in individual or group settings.
Conduct risk assessments, develop and implement safety plans, and provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed, including facilitating access to inpatient facilities for behavioral health care.
Provide ongoing support to clients in their homes and community environments.
Participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation and deliver after-hours support as needed.
This position requires regular driving and mobility in community settings.
Position Summary
The Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and case management for patients. This role offers you dynamic work functions from coordinating, planning and engaging with education programming services as you support patients in recovery.Responsibilities
You will perform Substance Use Disorder assessments in office-based, inpatient, or community settings as necessary; develop treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and conduct individual and group counseling sessions within the provisions of MultiCare’s policies and standards, as well as local, state, federal and other regulatory requirements
You will respond to referrals from various locations in the community in the most effective, efficient and safe manner possible in order to perform Substance Use Disorder assessment and make treatment recommendations and care coordination
You will provide care coordination and case management services, brief therapy, and motivational interviewing with a focus on rapid placement into the least restrictive appropriate level of care
You will develop relationships with community resources and develop treatment and safety plans to assist individuals and their natural and professional supports in resolving chemically induced crises
You will provide and connect patients and professionals with accurate program and agency resources
You will complete all required documentation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
Current WA State Substance Use Disorder Professional certification
Drivers License/Abstract
Minimum one (1) year of recent work experience as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP)

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $32.53 - $46.81 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
