Seeking Substance Abuse Specialist to provide compassionate, evidence-based support to a diverse group of individuals experiencing substance use disorders through all phases of the treatment continuum in both individual and group settings. Must have knowledge of and be willing to assist in linkage to a variety of harm reduction techniques to include Medication Assisted Treatment. Provides individual sessions to explore overall goals, treatment progression, and measurement of goal completion, assess further needs of individuals for successful recovery and program completion. Relies on knowledge, experience, and judgment with supervision and direction from the supervisor to provide quality services. Must be a Qualified Professional as defined by state agencies and service definitions. Must also be a Fully/Provisionally Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS/LCASA), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LCSWA) or a Certified Alcohol Drug Counsellor (CADC). Certain services may require additional training, knowledge, experience, and licensure.LOCATION: Taylorsville Outpatient Office & Community Settings
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday
SALARY: $48,000 - $62,000 based on licensure and experience

Responsibilities Include:
Required Education/Experience
Qualified Substance Abuse Prevention Professional which is defined as: a graduate of a college or university with a Master’s degree in a human service field and has one year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated supervised experience in substance abuse prevention; or a graduate of a college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a human service field and has two years of full-time, post-bachelor’s degree accumulated supervised experience in substance abuse prevention; or a graduate of a college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a field other than human services and has four years of full-time, post bachelor’s degree accumulated supervised experience in substance abuse prevention; or a substance abuse prevention professional who is certified as a Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Consultant (CSAPC) by the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board and meets the above requirements as a QSAPP
Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the position include:
Must meet the requirements of a Qualified Substance Abuse Professional – LCAS/LCASA,CADC, LCMHC/LCMHCA or LCSW/LCSWA willing to obtain Substance Abuse licensure within 60 days of hire.
