Who we are looking for

An incoming Senior Associate on the team should possess a positive attitude and strong quantitative skills.  The successful candidate will have an ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders to assist in the surveillance of subscription facilities.  Surveillance and monitoring of the portfolio will be a core responsibility. Alternatives Lending sits within the Fund Finance department, which is a key driver of revenue for the division and has $23B of loan commitments.  The Alternatives team provides subscription finance products to some of the world’s leading Private Equity Sponsors and Fund of Hedge Fund Managers. The job is located in Boston, MA.

What you will be responsible for

As Analyst- Senior Associate will

  • Assist Analysts and Account Officers in Borrowing Base uploads into Mercatus (Alpha for Private Markets) for subscription credit facilities
  • Match Limited Partners (Investors) in our facilities to Investor Parents in Mercatus
  • Create GEMs ID’s, UCI’s and Ratings for Limited Partners that are not currently in the State Street system
  • Monitor Mercatus for Investor Parent and Limited Partners that are not rated, and create ratings for missing entities
  • Create surveillance documents for Quarterly Exposure Review on the entire portfolio
  • Create Monthly report for Credit Committee
  • Assist in day-to-day management and maintenance of Mercatus platform Respond to requests for information from Enterprise Risk Management, internal audit and bank examiners; maintain high responsiveness and service quality across internal constituencies
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify, prioritize and escalate critical issues to senior management.  Work closely with loan Senior Associates to continue to develop industry knowledge as well as underwriting and portfolio management skills, understanding of policies and procedures for credit and portfolio administration, and management of the legal documentation process.
  • May also be relied upon to handle assigned projects

Salary Range:

$52,000 - $91,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
