Salary range (but not limited to):

69,200 - 84,600

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

7.5%

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.


About the role

We are looking for a Subrogation Property Adjuster to join our team in the West!

What you'll do here:

  • Conduct investigations into moderately complex losses, striving for prompt and equitable recoveries that align with corporate policies and standards.

  • Formulate strategic action plans by identifying necessary contacts, evaluating collection feasibility, and determining potential legal actions.

  • Gather and analyze claim details by collecting reports and statements from customers, witnesses, and other relevant parties or experts to assess damage, liability, and recovery opportunities.

  • Negotiate with third parties, legal representatives, and insurers to settle claims effectively.

  • Attend court proceedings or hearings as needed, providing essential information on claims.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both external and internal clients.

  • Respond to inquiries regarding investigations and claims processes.

  • Maintain strong communication with claims departments and collaborate with adjusters, experts, management, and other claims representatives on technical and administrative matters.

  • Cultivate productive relationships with service providers, monitoring performance to ensure adherence to professional and corporate standards.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend policy or procedural changes to maintain quality service and a competitive edge.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table:

  • A university degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience relevant to the role.

  • At least 2 years of experience handling property, casualty, and/or subrogation claims.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Knowledge of litigation processes (an asset).

  • Completion or pursuit of a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation (an asset).
