We are currently seeking a Study Data Manager to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Senior Clinical Data Science Lead at ICON, you will play a pivotal role in leading the analysis, interpretation, and management of clinical data to drive the success of our clinical trials. You will contribute to the advancement of innovative treatments and therapies by overseeing data science initiatives and ensuring data quality and integrity across studies.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Data Quality & Integrity - Ensure accurate, complete, and consistent clinical data throughout the study lifecycle.
  • Study Setup & Data Design - Translate protocol requirements into effective CRFs, edit checks, and DMPs. Data Oversight During Study Conduct - Monitor data flow, manage queries, and proactively identify data risks and trends.
  • External Data Integration & Reconciliation - Oversee vendor data transfers and ensure alignment across all data sources.
  • Database Lock Readiness & Execution - Drive clean file review, query resolution, and timely database lock.
  • Compliance & Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Ensure GCP/SOP compliance while partnering with Clinical Ops, Biostats, Safety, and vendors. ​
  • Establishing partnerships with key stakeholders to leverage the latest advancements in data science and technology in clinical research.

Your Profile:

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in the Lead role and must have the ability to demonstrate study start-up and database lock experience for a minimum of 5 studies
  • Leads must demonstrate thorough knowledge of conduct activities, lead and guide clinical study teams / stakeholders individually or in a team setting, have excellent communication, and project management skills along with attention to detail.
  • Therapeutic Area (TA) needs will be communicated in-line with the onboarding forecast. Oncology and Hematology TA requirements include 2+ years of recent Oncology or Hematology experience
  • Bachelor’s in life sciences or related field ​
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change in a complex organization.
