This position is estimated to work mid-June to September.

Your New Role

As a temporary Student Worker for Sunset Bay State Park management unit, you will primarily work in the Shore Acres State Park booth, greeting visitors, informing visitors about the park, cash handling, and helping visitors get day passes. You may also assist and work in partnership with park rangers, volunteers, and hosts in performing park maintenance tasks. Duties include but are not limited to janitorial work, landscape maintenance, interpretation, and visitor services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled at least half-time in high school.

Special Requirements:

  • To be hired, a criminal record and driving record check must be completed that meets OPRD Criteria at the time of hire, and throughout employment while also maintaining a valid drivers license.

  • Ability to provide factual information based on observation, knowledge and understanding.

  • Demonstrated common courtesy while communicating with others.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to make change and prepare simple cash reconciliation reports.
