Student, Underwriting Analyst (Summer 2026)

Job Description:

This role will be part of our Underwriting Innovation team which is responsible for leading innovative projects and initiatives that will help to improve client experience while recognizing and managing appropriate risk tolerance. 

What will you do?

• Collecting and analyzing data from rules engines and accelerated underwriting programs.
• Creating and developing reports based on findings, working alongside your peers and management to offer suggestions and areas for improvement.
• Build relationships with internal partners such as Operations, Data Scientists, and Pricing to help drive results

What do you need to succeed?

• Understanding of applications such as excel, and other statistical applications
• Computer and highly technical skills
• Actuarial science or mathematical background required with an understanding of data analytics
• Analytical skills
• Results oriented
• Communication skills
• Independent worker and collaborative
• Resourceful

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.

Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
