Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated HR student or recent graduate to join our Human Resources team for a 12month internship. This role offers handson experience across the talent and engagement functions, from campus recruitment and events to strategic talent projects. You will work closely with HR professionals to support daytoday operations and contribute to initiatives that help shape our workforce of the future.



This is a 12-month, full-time internship starting in May 2026 through April 2027

Responsibilities: 

Campus Recruitment 

  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and attending campus recruitment events and career fairs. 

  • Support scheduling and logistics for oncampus presentations and information sessions. 

  • Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate assessments. 

  • Coordinate, schedule and lead interviews, including liaising with hiring managers. 

  • Conduct reference checks and document findings. 

Strategic Talent Projects 

  • Assist with talent reviews and reporting.   

  • Support succession planning processes. 

  • Collaborate with HR team members on employee development initiatives. 

  • Support the development of an Engagement Program. 

HR Operations & Workplace Support 

  • Provide occasional relief reception coverage, greeting visitors and handling phone inquiries. 

  • Offer onsite Workplace & Security support responding to inquiries and directing to appropriate resources. 

General 

  • Contribute to HR team meetings and brainstorming sessions. 

  • Work on various research related projects related to Talent. 

  • Ensure all work complies with company policies, procedures, and applicable legislation. 

  • Take initiative to learn and develop HR skills and knowledge throughout the internship. 

Our Ideal Candidate Qualifications:  

  • Current enrollment in, or recent completion of, a postsecondary program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new systems. 

  • Experience with Workday is an asset. 

  • Professional, discreet, and committed to maintaining confidentiality. 

Success Measures: 

You will become well-versed in the Talent and Engagement functions within the greater HR structure of AIMCo. You will begin to understand the inner workings of a robust HR team within AIMCo along with a better understanding of who AIMCo is and how we serve our clients.
