Student Supply Chain & Fleet Management Coordinator

Our internships and Co-ops are designed to provide you with a business relevant project that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor. We’ll help you discover your strengths and development areas in a challenging, fun, and supportive work environment.

We are seeking a student to join us for a four-month co-op position starting in May 2026. This position will be based out of Calgary, Alberta.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Collaborate with National Supply Chain team in support of Bird’s Master Data Management.
  • Coordinate data validation between suppliers and internal stakeholders in support of our Vendor Management program.
  • Coordinate the vendor review process, ensuring timely feedback from stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research related to purchasing and subcontract administration to gather relevant information for proposal content.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts in purchasing to understand technical details and incorporate them into proposals.
  • Communicate effectively with team members for smooth collaboration during the development of purchasing and subcontract administration proposals.
  • Assist in the development of templates and standard content specific to purchasing to streamline future proposal processes.
  • Compile and analyse existing policies, procedures, and resources, and provide recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Coordinate, organize, and maintain documents (e.g., forms, checklists, procedures/process) on internal SharePoint site.
  • Assist in related meetings to record, distribute, and track action items.
  • Compile and distribute reporting requirements in multiple formats to a variety of audiences.
  • Compile and analyze spend data, vendor utilization and external market data in the formation, implementation and ongoing utilization of category management strategies and strategic sourcing.
  • Collaborate with National Fleet Management team in support of Bird’s Fleet Management Programs.
  • Participate in meetings with both internal team members and external vendors for fleet related initiatives.
  • Work closely with various levels across the organization to assist in the development and documentation of processes and procedures for fleet and fuel management.
  • Collaborate and assist to document the development of training materials and aids utilized for fleet management.
  • Coordinate data compilation and analysis with external vendors and internal stake holders in support of fleet and fuel management programs.
  • Assist with the development of fleet related communications for internal stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

  • You are currently enrolled in Supply Chain, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related program
  • You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Ability to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently
