About the Role
Flinders University is seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join our team as Student Services Advisor and be an integral part of our City Campus Services team.
In this multi-faceted role, you will provide high quality support to staff, students and external stakeholders, with the aim to positively impact the student experience and contribute to a vibrant, engaging and activated campus.
As the Student Services Advisor, you will be a key on-site contact and be required to:
Provide timely and high-quality enrolment and course advice services to students including managing complex student enquiries and cases to resolution whilst ensuring consistency with University policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
Act as the primary contact for enrolment-related activities across the student lifecycle, ensuring referral to the relevant areas while maintaining oversight through to conclusion and ensuring requests are reviewed and finalised in a timely manner.
Support on-site services to all students including international students, and assist with their bespoke requirements, connect students with university services, support their specific needs and link complex cases to International Student Services.
The incumbent will be required to work within the City Campus hours of operation, these being Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm. Hours worked may be undertaken on a rostered arrangement.

Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be the key to your success, as you provide high quality customer service and demonstrate the ability to build, maintain and enhance relationships with students, staff and stakeholders through constructive and collaborative interactions. You will be flexible and adaptable, eager to collaborate and assist other members within the City Campus Services team. You will foster positive professional relationships and prove that you are a strong team player, willing to contribute to an inclusive and cohesive team culture.
The successful Student Services Advisor, will also:
Have completed a degree or posses an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver operational services in a high-volume and complex service delivery environment, with a demonstrated understanding of other cultures and the ability to communicate in a cross-cultural working environment.
Make decisions and apply judgement and problem-solving skills when dealing with sensitive, complex matters.
Interpret and advise on statutes, administrative policies and procedures with high attention to detail and to provide risk assessments and recommendations relating to course requirements and compliance.
