Oxford Properties is excited to offer opportunities for students who have a passion for real-estate management to join our team in Toronto supporting our Office portfolio for either a 4 month student internship. We are looking for a highly motivated Summer Student to join our Retail Leasing team in Toronto.
In this role, you will have the opportunity for hands-on experience, with exposure to customer service excellence programs, property administration, operations, and leasing. You will take the lead on several research initiatives; plus you will have opportunity to learn more about other portfolios within Oxford including Industrial and Retail.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
Working directly with the Senior Leasing team member to ensure all aspects of the leasing process result in a pleasant experience for all customers and constituents
Maintaining a current inventory of floor plans for available spaces within each building, including coordination with internal stakeholders and onsite property personnel.
Facilitating information requests from brokers and tenants interested in leasing space in the portfolio.
Coordinating the tour process, including scheduling with required personnel, communication with 3rd party brokers, and preparation of marketing materials.
Coordinating with the property team for any required additional services for tours (food, technology, etc.).
Sourcing and prospecting new tenants
Participating in leasing tours as requested.
Financial analysis of prospective lease transactions.
Creating and maintaining a comparable lease transaction database.
Collaborating with the Corporate Marketing team to develop, maintain, and organize property specific and corporate marketing materials and presentations.
Developing a working relationship with 3rd party brokers, retailers, , etc.
Drafting letters of intent and term sheets.
Drafting deal VTS' for internal transaction review and approval.
Supporting team with report preparation for quarterly meetings.
Coordinating special projects and events as needed.
To succeed in this role, you:
Must be a 3rd year student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Real Estate, Finance , or Urban Planning
Should be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with knowledge of ARGUS DCF
Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication.
Are a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and high level of attention to detail

The expected salary range for this position is $44,850.00 - $56,550.00 per year, prorated based on the term of the contract.
You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short-term Incentive plan and our Long-Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans – details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
