JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The new student resource hub – MyResource – is a Presidential initiative that is intended to foster student success and belonging.  Initially conceived of by a group of student leaders, the MyResource office is a multi-tiered, equity-centered initiative that includes a virtual assistant and physical space designed to help students find information related to the student experience. 

MyResource is looking for friendly and resourceful students who are interested in helping their peers to succeed.  We are seeking students who are excellent communicators, have a good understanding of the kinds of questions and concerns that students have, and who are committed to creating inclusive pathways for students to access student support resources. 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional service to students and others who visit the office
  • Answering phone calls from students who have been referred to the office by the AI- Powered Tool or other campus partners
  • Assist in identifying content gaps in information regarding campus resources that will help students to better seek answers to their questions/concerns
  • Referring in person or online inquiries to the appropriate staff or resource
  • Assist with administrative tasks in the MyResource office as needed
  • Support tabling/programming/workshops and other promotional efforts about MyResource to student organizations, first year seminars, residence hall floors, and other audiences

CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
