Under the supervision of the Research Supervisor, the Undergraduate Research Assistant will assist in software development and User Experience (UX) optimization.

Position Summary:

  • Work with the team to test, troubleshoot, and document issues related to:
  • Voice-to-text data entry and transcription workflows
  • Image-to-image transformations and ML-based visual processing
  • Negative prompting and prompt-engineering behavior
  • Linguistic model refinement, including testing model output quality and consistency
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) integration
  • Secure integration pathways for institutional deployments, supporting future B2B licensing
  • Identify bugs, propose fixes, and validate improvements in collaboration with the RA1 and software team.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and project planning sessions.
  • Assist with documentation, testing logs, and maintaining clear versioned records of all updates and tests performed.
  • Contribute to internal demos, user-flow reviews, and early-stage UX testing.


Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in computer science, engineering, neuroscience, cognitive science, or related fields.
  • Basic familiarity with Python or similar languages; ability to read code and understand debugging processes.
  • Strong interest in AI/ML methods, digital health, or computational research. Excellent attention to detail, documentation habits, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
