As a member of the Retail Marketing Team, you will be:

  • Working alongside members of our team to gain an understanding of the overall marketing process and marketing plans for GTA centres.

  • Gaining an understanding of the importance of B2C and B2B marketing strategies

  • Working with internal teams to execute on marketing strategies & tactics

  • Assisting with the preparation of marketing materials

  • Assisting with the development and implementation of marketing programs and events for the GTA retail centres

  • Conducting market research to understand customer segments to drive business decisions

  • Gaining exposure to other areas of the Real Estate Management team including property management, digital and technology, tourism, leasing.

Other areas of focus can be tailored to specific interests of the student who join us, along with the needs of the business, and may include:

Digital Marketing & Technology

  • Understanding the tech stack for retail as innovative tools to connect with consumers

  • Assist the team in creating digital marketing campaigns from content creation to results and reporting

Research

  • Assist with the research and preparation of marketing analysis

  • Research various real estate statistics relevant to the Toronto market

Finance & Analysis

  • Learn how to create, review and analyze monthly budget statements

To succeed in this role, you:

  • Are a returning student pursuing an undergraduate degree in commerce, real estate, urban planning, or related

  • Are interested in learning through a wide range of activities from marketing to finance to customer service

  • Are proficient in Microsoft products (Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Are self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a high level of attention to detail

  • Possess strong leadership, interpersonal skills, outstanding communication skills (verbal and written), and have proven problem solving and Project management skills

  • Are able to work well under pressure with multiple competing deadlines

  • Work effectively in a team environment and independently as required have a demonstrated passion for real estate management

The expected salary range for this position is $44,850.00 - $56,550.00 per year, prorated based on the term of the contract.

 

You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short-term Incentive plan and our Long-Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans – details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
