Position Summary:
The Student Engagement Office is hiring student workers to support the Analytics Team during campus events. In this role, you'll assist with student check-in, event entry flow, and perimeter monitoring to ensure student safety and accurate attendance tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and check in students at event entrances using campus-issued technology.
Monitor event perimeter areas to ensure all attendees are properly checked in.
Assist with managing the flow of students into events and direct them to correct entry points.
Provide friendly, professional customer service to students.
Report attendance concerns or behavioral issues to Analytics or event leads.
Set up and break down check-in stations, signage, and event materials.
Ensure compliance with all university engagement policies.
Qualifications:
Must be a full time on campus student
Will be requiring a GPA of 3.0 to be considered for the position.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stay alert, focused, and professional in busy or high-energy environments.
Comfortable using mobile devices, tablets, and check-in technology (training provided).
Ability to stand for extended periods during events.
Dependable, proactive, and committed to creating a positive student experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in event staffing or customer service.
Familiarity with GCU events and student culture.
Interest in analytics, event logistics, or engagement metrics.
Work Schedule:
Part-time, hours vary based on event calendar.
Evening availability required.
Occasional Weekends
