The student analyst will be a key member of the Oxford Finance Transformation team and will play an integral role on our ongoing process, people, and technology improvement initiatives across the Global Finance & Technology team.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the delivery of projects by working closely with finance and technology professionals and external vendors.

  • Build data pipelines in the data platform and assist maintaining the data warehouse.

  • Adhere to the testing procedures, create test cases and perform System and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Assist in the preparation of data analysis, process documentation, and reporting.

  • Support project management activities as required (project progress, status, and issues/risk tracking).

  • Prepare and provide analytical insights on improvement opportunities within our project portfolio.

  • Support our finance learning & development content creation, delivery and administration.

  • Participate in ad hoc initiatives and special projects as required.

  • Support Data Governance initiatives across the organization, standing up market best practices for framework in multiple areas.

 Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering.

  • Strong skills in writing and understanding SQL queries, Python; ETL and data warehousing concepts are assets.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)

  • Self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (required); Visio is an asset

  • Knowledge on BI Tools tools is an asset

  • Prior real estate experience and/or previous experience in a project-based environment is considered an asset

This posting is for an existing vacancy.

 

The expected salary range for this position is $50,700.00 - $70,200.00 per year, prorated based on the term of the contract.

 

You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short-term Incentive plan and our Long-Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans – details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
