Investment Finance Client Financial Reporting team excels in delivering outstanding financial reporting support to AIMCo’s clients. Responsibilities:

  • Refreshing, maintaining and troubleshooting for assigned internal PowerBI accounting dashboards and perform daily validations, investigation and updates to accounting reports/dashboards signoff.

  • Support the team in ensuring controls operate effectively to support CSAE 3416 reporting requirements.

  • Assist in preparing periodic client financial reporting requirements, such as year-end financial reporting.

  • Improve documentation and provide input to policies and procedures.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field

  • Returning to full time studies after work term, or finishing work experience terms (e.g Co-op)

  • Good understanding of, and ability to apply, investment accounting rules and guidelines including Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants handbook (GAAP), Public Sector Accounting Board (PASB), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the Financial Administration Act is an asset

  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Familiar with PowerBI and SQL. Experience using data query/visualization tools would be an asset

  • Exposure to automated reporting is an asset

  • A team player with strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Exceptional attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Effective analytical, organization, time management, and communication skills

Success Factors:

Your success in the role will be in your ability to finish tasks independently and support various Investment Finance projects. Your enthusiasm and passion for learning will be supported by the whole Investment Finance team, made up of various accountants, administrators, and our Director.
