About Us – Pediatric/Adult Unit
The Pediatric/Adult Unit consists of 15-beds to provide care to children from birth to age 18. Additionally, we take overflow adult patients with uncomplicated medical, surgical, orthopedic, and OB/GYN diagnoses as needed. Admission of adult patients excludes those with specific diagnoses that requires a higher level of specialized care.
We work with families to make their children's hospitalization less traumatic by encouraging parental involvement.
With chair beds in each room, as well as meal trays for parents, families remain together during difficult times. Each room has a TV with movies and video games available upon request.
Our care team focuses on teamwork, compassion and relationship building.
What You’ll Do
Under the direction/supervision of a nurse, provides basic nursing care needs for assigned patients.
Requirements
1.Currently enrolled in RN or LPN nursing program and have successfully completed first semester of nursing courses.
2.If a CNA license was held prior to starting nursing program, the employee may be considered for a Student Assistant program.
3.Must successfully pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days of hire.
4.NT Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
