Assists the therapists with routine activities of daily living (grooming, hygiene and toileting activities, etc.) Assist in established independent maintenance programs such as exercises, strengthening, ROM, wheelchair activities and community re-entry activities. Assist therapist with maintaining/modifying equipment. Adheres to Policies and Procedures specific to protective equipment, safety issues, and Universal Precautions. Maintains communication with the therapists regarding patient related activities. Prepares assigned areas for patient treatment. Prepares patients to receive treatment, i.e. assists with undressing/dressing. Provides equipment supplies as requested/needed to treatment area. Assists therapists with performing gait-training activities, with use of a gait belt. Assists with the transferring of patients (supine to sit, sit to stand, bed to chair/wheelchair, bed to tilt table, etc.) Indirect patient care  

Experience/Requirements

High School Grad or Equivalent. Currently enrolled as a Student.
